Approach
First, I’ll evaluate the client’s company and get an understanding of their needs and expectations. I’ll then research the industry, target audience, and competition to write a design brief. The brief outlines the scope of the project and includes an abbreviated brand strategy for efficacy purposes. Businesses with unique value propositions yield stronger logos.
Next I’ll create and sketch concepts from which I’ll digitize the strongest options - usually 3-5. The first presentation is in black and white so we can focus on typography and graphic elements. Based on feedback, I’ll refine the concepts and add color for the second presentation. Once we’ve chosen the best option, I’ll refine some more before a final review. I’ll do as many rounds of refinement that are necessary.

Deliverables
When we are happy, I will prepare “machanical” files for your use, likely including multiple layouts (for responsive logos like below) with different color (light and dark) and graphic combinations (logotype, symbol). I will overdeliver in this area so you always have what you need.
