Brand strategy
The cattle trade is as old as any marketplace. Over time, selectively breeding cattle has proven beneficial for all parties involved, and allowed for qualitative advancements in production and, therefore, profit.
With advanced testing techniques and accredited filing systems, breeding a better species is not only common, but also an evolving science that has experts constantly raising the bar.
While it requires skill and determination, Tuna Rosa Ranch has devised a results-oriented approach to exceed even modern limits. Where time was once the barrier, now, it’s just the matter.
Iconography
As is tradition in the industry, the brand mark that forms part of the logo and serves as the ranch cattle brand is a monogram of the ranch owner’s initials. In this case, “JE”. We then created additional icons to represent other areas of interest to communicate the value of Tuna Rosa standards.
Social Media Engagement
The lack of digital development within the industry has driven online sales funnels through social media. It’s not uncommon for ranchers to work the land while his wife peruses Facebook and Instagram listings for the next addition to their herd.
Instagram following is up over 550% 6 months after launching the new brand design.

Style Guide with Positioning
BTW: A “tuna rosa” is a prickly pear on a cactus which grows plentifully on the ranch. The watercolor cactus motif used as a background was an original watercolor I then manipulated using Photoshop—it was inspired by the fruit-bearing land and symbolizes the ever-growing herd with elevated genetics.
